Finger and Thumb Theatre is delighted to announce their new commission with Junction to develop a family theatre piece, suitable for children aged 4 to 7 years, with accompanying workshop. The piece (The Ugly Duckling) will receive its world premier in Goole in September 2015.
Finger and Thumb Theatre first performed at Junction in January 2014 with Circus Bear. Around this time Junction were looking to commission a new piece of work to premier in Goole, which would also provide opportunities for local people to get involved. Having seen the Circus Bear performance and talking with Artistic Director Drew Colby afterwards, Arts and Leisure Manager, Charlie Studdy realised Finger and Thumb were the perfect company. The piece will feature Finger and Thumb's hand shadow puppetry expertise with live music from Cellist Penny Callow.
Junction, in Goole, East Yorkshire is a multi-award winning venue with a busy programme of live events, cinema and activities for all ages.
